garythiryGary Thiry, PT, received his Physical Therapy degree from Loma Linda University, California in 1973.

Gary has extensive training in Orthopedics and Manual Therapy, including advanced training in Primal Reflex Release Techniques(PRRT).

Gary is also certified in Blankenship Functional Capacity Evaluations and has training in Mckenzie Lumbar Spine Evaluation and treatment.

He is certified in Pneumex Spinal Treatment utilizing the “un-weighting system”, Pneumex Postural Chair and Mapping Evaluation. He is also certified in Pneumex Scoliosis Evaluation and treatment.

Gary has been in private practice for 19 years. He is an outdoor enthusiast enjoying such activities as golf, tennis, racket-ball and hiking.

 

martingreedyMartin Greedy is a personal trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

His life passion is to help others excel beyond where they are, whether it is the elderly person, young athlete or the elite gymnast.

His love for helping others has carried him into positions as a certified Golf Professional Instructor, as well as both a ski and paragliding instructor in the Swiss Alps.

His years of experience have made him unmatched in his diverse knowledge of interpersonal coaching skills and progressive techniques in core conditioning.

 

kristinneuburgerKristin Neuburger is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania. She received a BS in Health and Physical Education from Edinboro University of Pennslyvania.

After graduation, Kristin moved to Charleston, South Carolina where she worked as a Program Director for the Girl Scouts.  She developed environmental education programs for girls from  Kindergarten to grade twelve.

After receiving a license in Massage Therapy from Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy, she moved to Western North Carolina to continue her practice. Her desire to treat individuals in a more clinical setting led her to obtain a Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from Southwestern Community College in Sylva, North Carolina.

Her scope of practice includes orthopedics, geriatrics and wellness programs with a focus on rehabilitation. Kristin is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying such activities as hiking, biking, and kayaking.


darylmackinnesDaryl MacInnes, MPT, is a 2010 graduate of Western Carolina University’s Physical Therapy program.

Daryl has spent years practicing Hatha Yoga, has been a certified instructor since 2006, and enjoys bringing the healing benefits of this ancient tradition to the clinic.

Daryl places special interest in manual therapy techniques and is pursuing continuing education to become a certified manual therapist.

Outside of the clinic Daryl is an avid rock climber, and enjoys spending his free time in the area’s beautiful outdoors.

 

carolmischenkoCarol Mischenko brings 35 years of Hand Therapy and diverse Occupational Therapy experience.

Her Hand experience began in Richmond, Virginia, where she was the head of the Physical Disabilities division of a large acute care hospital there.

Her hand skills were solidified in Ft. Myers, Florida, at the Southwest Regional Medical Center, with mentoring from both plastic and orthopedic surgeons, and from a rich experience at Asheville Hand Center, where Carol worked side by side with three innovative Hand surgeons.

She brings with her skills in Neurology and Orthopedics.

Her goals are to return her patients to Optimal function in their homes, schools and work places. It is evident that Carol cares for her patients and has the expertise to enable them to maximize their recoveries.

 

adamhigginbothamAdam Higginbotham is board certified as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Adam has worked in a variety of different settings from Acute Care to Sports Medicine and Orthopedics.

He is experienced in rehabbing young athletes with many different issues ranging from Osgood-schlatters, Severs disease, ACL, Meniscus, Achilles tendonitis, ankle instability.

He also helps older people improve their stability and balance, recover quickly from knee and hip replacements, and achieve overall better fitness and conditioning.

In his spare time he enjoys being in the outdoors of western North Carolina.
